www.dpreview.com :

This site is the best place to check out and compare cameras before you buy. It also has a great learning section and a fantastic photography competition section. There are also forums and sample galleries. It is one of my favourite online destinations.

www.dpbestflow.org :

I am quite passionate about workflow and best practice, this site brings the two together. It is informative and comprehensive. It is there to explain how you should manage your digital assets and how best to work with the information for archiving and longevity of your files.

www.dxomark.com :

DXO is a technical site that reviews sensors and camera oprics. I find it the section on sensor commparisons particually interesting.

Communities

These are online groups and forums where you can mingle with other passionate photographers.

I am always impressed by the high standard of work on this site. It is a well structured and informative site.

A thoroughly talented and inspirational wildlife photographer whose work I aspire too.

A collection of images many gathered from the National Geographic archives that are great to scroll through.

I am a big TED Talks fan and this site has grouped the photography related topics that can be watched directly from the site.

A superb collection of stunning macro images.

www.weburbanist.com :

A few fine examples of different shooting techniques, the article is titled " Top 10 Most Awesome Approaches to Photography"
